A few words

About Us

OUR GOAL

If we don’t SEE what’s going on, it’s easy to feel like what happens outside our circle doesn’t touch us. But it does. Decisions made on Capital Hill, federal courtrooms and local city halls leak straight into our homes, our paychecks, our schools, and our futures.

I started working on this website about 5 years ago because I realized that I wasn’t seeing what I should’ve been seeing on MSM (mainstream media) and I realized that too many of us were walking through our days thinking everything was okay and the people we’d elected to be our voices were doing their jobs and protecting us. Then we’d get hit with unbelievable news, sometimes many days after the fact.

This site was born out of frustration and anger, honestly,  but also out of hope. Whether it’s local news, global headlines, or the kind of stories that never make the evening broadcast, we want to make it clear: if you’re living here, raising kids here, working here, or just trying to survive here, then what’s going on in the world around you is already part of your story.

We didn’t create this site to lecture or overwhelm anyone. We created it to connect and we hope to meet more women who feel the same way. We want to  remind women that looking up, asking questions, and staying awake to what’s going on isn’t some luxury: it’s necessary. This is a place where we can share what’s happening in a way that makes sense. Because when we’re paying attention together, we stop being passive spectators. We become the kind of community that notices, reacts, and refuses to keep our mouths shut.
